During these early years he worked diligently, obtaining his tiling license and establishing Brian Boyd Tiling by not only providing quality of workmanship, but by also building up strong relationships with his Builders and their Building Supervisors. He had learnt in his early years that it was imperative to understand their needs and sometimes the frustrations thrown at them from time to time and to be the ‘solutions person’ not the ‘problem person’. In 2008 he transitioned his expertise into waterproofing and established Brian Boyd Waterproofing. From that time he has built an extremely strong, ethical and professional team around him which he has always emphasised to them that Brian Boyd Waterproofing will always provide a professional service and every possible solution to all builders waterproofing needs and to ensure the work carried out is completed on time and to the highest possible standard. |

| Susan BoydChief Financial Officer (CFO) Sue’s background comes from a 25 year career in the management of shopping centre’s, which involved financial, operational, leasing, retail tenant liaison, redevelopment, marketing and building management. Sue has been involved with Brian Boyd Tiling and Brian Boyd Waterproofing from both their inceptions controlling all of the financials and administration. In the early days Sue remained working full-time as a Shopping Centre Manager until 10 years ago when Sue ‘retired’ to concentrate and ensure the financial administrative side of Brian Boyd Waterproofing reflected the ethos of Brian’s mantra ‘solutions not problems’. Sue is responsible for the financial control of budgets, forecasts and actuals and of all matters related to payroll and the company’s financial affairs ensuring the financial stability of the company is maintained. Sue was instrumental in the setting up of the job scheduling program AroFlo, allowing the company as it was rapidly expanding to keep control of work flows and easily record details of each job, invoicing and the issuing of compliance certificates and then integrating this back to their accounting program ensuring the smooth flowing of all the financial matters for the company. |

| Darren AthornGeneral Manager Darren joined Brian Boyd Waterproofing in January 2016 however his career in waterproofing began in 2003 as an applicator and joint sealer for a small waterproofing company on the south side of Brisbane. Over the 20 years since this humble beginning as a junior applicator he has progressed through to senior applicator roles, estimating/quoting roles and project management. Over this time, Darren’s project experience has been in both residential and commercial construction settings ranging from small single bathroom renovations to multi storey high-rise residential unit developments and multiple $20b + gas refinery projects. Darren is Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing qualified and is fully licenced. |

| Josh O’BrienOperations Manager Josh has 16 years residential/commercial waterproofing experience, since entering the construction industry in 2007. Starting as an applicator in residential waterproofing, Josh then moved into a commercial role during which time he was exposed to large project environments such as the construction of the Gold Coast University Hospital. Josh also spent time in Central Queensland as the Regional Manager for a franchised waterproofing company. It was during this tenure that he developed his operational skills through juggling hands on application, alongside job scheduling and staff management. After moving back to Brisbane, Josh’s focus shifted to membrane supply and technical advice, working for a major waterproofing supplier. From humble beginnings in application Josh has turned a passion for waterproofing into a desire to provide informative, technical advice and service that is second to none from an operational and logistical perspective. Josh holds a Certificate III in Construction Waterproofing and is fully licensed. |
